Northumberland County Council Technology Platform
The right technology platform was required to
meet Northumberland County Council's needs, along with an
implementation partner who really understood the public sector and
would get fully behind the Council’s vision.
Based on these requirements, the Council
selected the Alterian Immediacy Web Content Management
System (WCMS) for its ease of use, rapid deployment
capabilities and extensibility, and Alterian Gold Partner
Unified Solutions.
With an extensive amount of content to check
and migrate to the new site, an easy to use and intuitive WCMS was
required. Part of the reason for selecting the Alterian Immediacy
WCMS was its familiar, Microsoft Word/Outlook-style user
interface that enabled staff to get started quickly. Content was
also authored using Word and Excel, as the Council knew that they
could simply drag and drop this content into the WCMS when it was
ready for publishing.
Northumberland County Council installed the
full suite of Immediacy local government plug-ins which Unified
customised to their specific requirements and designed advanced
functionality to meet their needs.
