Implementation of the Policy
It is the specific responsibility of the Recruitment Services and HR Director and all senior management to ensure that this policy is fully implemented and that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and the legal obligations that fall upon them and this Company.
All existing staff will undergo training and/or briefing to enable them to meet the requirements of this policy. New staff will undergo training and/or briefing as part of their induction.
All employees will be made aware of the legislation relating to sex, marital status, racial discrimination and the CRE guidelines on sex and race discrimination and the action they must take if a client attempts to register a discriminatory vacancy or assignment. All employees will be made aware of the CRE's recommendations to agencies, and the EOC's recommendations contained in their leaflet 'Fair Dealing'.
Employees will be made aware of their individual responsibility for the implementation of this policy and compliance with the discrimination legislation.
Duties Of Employee
All employees will comply both with the legislation and guidelines relating to sex and race discrimination and in particular those parts of the guidelines dealing with action to be taken where a client attempts to register a discriminatory vacancy or assignment. All employees will have regard to the CRE's recommendations to employment agencies and the EOC's recommendations contained in their leaflet 'Fair Dealing'.
It is the duty of each employee to accept a commitment to this policy and their personal responsibility for making this policy effective and their personal responsibility for discrimination on grounds of sex, marital status or race.
Discipline
Discrimination against any person on the grounds of ethnic origin, sex or marital status will be regarded as serious misconduct and may result in dismissal.
